Went to Limoncello for a dinner with my hubby yesterday. we liked the causal dining atmosphere and were happy with their friendly and prompt service. We had a raw beef carpaccio ($16.50) as starter. This thinly sliced beef tenderloin was so fresh and juicy, drowsed with fresh olive oil, that it was best to be eaten with fresh rocket and sharved parmesan. We also shared a rucola e prosciutto di parma pizza ($27.50) as parts of our main course. This 13inch thin crusted pizza was huge, toppled with generous layers of parma ham, mozzrella, cherry tomotoes, fresh rocket and parmesan. what i liked most was the parma ham wasnt too salty, just rightly marinated. Next we had a hand made amalfi coast pasta with mixed seafood ($21.50). The hand made pasta reminded me of those hand made ban mian 's texture. I tasted not too bad (not the usual pasta taste), But unfortunately, this dish had a very strong fishy smell (could smell it when it was served to us) and the prawn wasn't fresh.Last but not least, though our bellies were about to burst, yet we wouldn't want to go without trying their desserts. So, we shared a lava cake ($9). One of the best I had tried. It's not too sweet like most desserts are, just the right amount of chocolatey-ness, warm molten chocolate was runny and oozing out of it. Yummy We each had a cup of regular coffee ($4.50 each) and i must say, they served good, strong coffee. We spent about $83.50 for our dinner. continue reading
